We were in the awful predicament of having a computer melt-down at home – I was tearing my hair out and in “panic mode” when someone suggested we call Geeks on Wheels. With a name like that we thought they have to be very confident!

The problem with computers at home is that there is no IT backup on hand as there is in the workplace, so you feel very much on your own when something major goes wrong. I panicked, gathered myself together and rang Bill who came to the rescue very quickly. We were impressed by the immediate response and efficiency of his team.

Bill is a great advertisement for his company. Importantly, he is always on time. He has a very calm presence, he is very polite, has a quiet sense of humour and talks in plain English. ALSO he doesn't treat you as if you live on another planet and he is someone you are happy to invite into your home, which I think is quite important.

During our melt-down he was extremely efficient, tried to sort things out in the most economical way in the first instance, and was quite up front with the good news/bad news, so we always knew what the problem was and the cost of fixing it – there were no surprises. He also made sensible recommendations such as weekly backups of the whole system and we now feel, should there be problems in the future, we'll be much more confident we haven't lost any precious data.

Geeks on Wheels are a very “on to it” and helpful bunch of people – I don't feel IT-isolated any more and would certainly recommend Bill to anyone who is unfortunate enough to have computer problems. There are so many of us now with home computers and Geeks on Wheels certainly fill a much-needed niche in the market. I, for one am very grateful for the recommendation.
